There is a world of innovation happening right now in the outdoor travel and adventure market following an explosive growth in consumer adoption.
We would like to share a direct update on how we are actively refining our products to deliver the most reliable, smart-space, efficient and capable campers. From April 15th - 19th 2026, Goatfell Demountable Campers, with one of our key strategic partners, travelled to Guangzhou to attend the Canton Fair.
Our mission was straightforward: source highly specific components, study advanced product design and bring back proven engineering solutions to optimise the space, safety, and efficiency of our next LUX camper iterations.
Specifically, in terms of the Middle Kingdom, you will have heard about huge advances in High Speed Rail, prior to that Airports, but less well known is similar investment in Road infrastructure to far flung stunning locations. This has resulted in a new market; initially for motorhomes, now campervans and with demountable campers piggy-backing on a more niche market. The social-economic background is that millions are moving up into the middle class and young couples are delaying starting families to travel first and explore before they settle.
Gathering Global Insights for UK/EU Adventures
We spent five days analyzing how premium mobile living, automotive, and outdoor industries solve complex engineering challenges. We also spoke directly with parts manufacturers and international buyers across Europe, North America, Oceania, the Middle East, and Asia.
Connecting with experts across these diverse climates confirmed a universal truth: customers deserve rugged, self-sufficient capability without sacrificing interior comfort.
We are applying these learnings directly to our upcoming Goatfell Demountable Camper designs using smart component integration. By packaging utility systems more tightly into the camper, we are freeing up physical volume inside the camper. This gives you more room to live, relax, and store your gear during your travels. Yes - we must keep things light which is the greatest advantage of the pop up demountable campers !
Monitoring Further Upgrades for the Goatfell Demountable Range
We do not believe in adding unnecessary gadgets. Instead, our joint team finalized agreements for specific, high-performance parts to elevate the core foundation of the LUX model. Here are some key technologies:
Future Proofing Power: The biggest buzz this year was around Semi-Solid State Battery (SSB) technology finally hitting the consumer market. Unlike traditional lithium-ion batteries that use liquid electrolytes, these use a semi-solid material, which means a 2000Wh power station that used to be a two-person lift is now significantly lighter and more compact.
Solar Power: Flexible Perovskite-Silicon Tandem Solar Blankets. Traditional portable panels usually cap out at 20–22% efficiency. These tandem cells are breaking the 28% barrier. Even better, they are significantly more effective at capturing energy in low-light or overcast conditions. These are the cutting edge of lightweight rollable photovoltaics.
AI-Driven Smart Energy Management (EMS): Hardware is only half the story. The 2026 fair saw the "intelligence" of power stations skyrocket with Edge-AI integration. New power hubs now feature AI that learns your usage patterns. If it's connected to a solar array, it checks local weather forecasts via Wi-Fi/Satellite and decides whether to fast-charge now or wait for a peak solar window to preserve battery health.
Smart Heating Integration: We selected smaller, high-efficiency heating units. Their reduced physical footprint frees up valuable cabinet storage. While we are launching this setup on one upcoming model, it serves as our blueprint to optimize heating layouts across our entire range.
Bi-Directional GaN (Gallium Nitride) Ultra-Fast Charging: This technology allows a massive 3000Wh station to be charged from 0% to 80% in under 45 minutes directly from a wall outlet, without a massive, heavy external power.
Industrial Weatherproofing: We secured specialized, automotive-grade bonding adhesives. These glues offer exceptional resistance to heavy vibrations and damp weather, giving you absolute confidence against leaks in wet climates.
360-Degree Security Camera Array: For total situational awareness, we selected a high-definition, full-angle safety camera system. This array eliminates blind spots, making tight campsite parking and rugged trail navigation stress-free mobile phone monitoring options when you are away from your beloved camper.
Low-Profile Steps & Ladders: We sourced and redesigned mechanical step and ladder system. They fold much tighter against the camper body to improve ground clearance while providing incredibly stable footing when deployed.
